Oklahoma State University’s McKnight Performing Arts Center required a reliable, space-saving accessibility solution for multiple stairways. Instead of one lift, the project called for the installation of five Artira inclined platform lifts, demonstrating scalability and trust in Garaventa Lift’s design.
The centre needed barrier-free access without compromising its modern architecture or requiring major renovations. Multiple stairways had different configurations, including a unique installation where the drive box had to be placed in a room beneath the stairs.
Garaventa Lift dealer Access Elevator and Lifts installed five Artiras with stainless steel rail tubes, customized finishes, and one unit enhanced with glass infill panels provided by a third party. Each Artira was adapted to its stairway, ensuring consistent operation and aesthetics across the facility.
With five Artiras in place, the Performing Arts Center is now fully accessible—delivering independence for students, staff, and visitors while preserving the venue’s design.
